In the end Bangladesh and India were declared joint champions. Sagarika's home is in Rangatungi village of Hossingaon union of Ranishankoil upazila of Thakurgaon district. His father Liton Ali and mother Mocha ran a small tea shop on the side of the paved road in the area called Rangatungi scale on the Ranishankoil-Haripur paved road. Anju Begum Sagarika is the younger of the two boys and girls. And son md. Sagar works as a laborer in a brick kiln. Father Lytton also used to work as a fireman in a brickyard. Two years ago he started a small tea biscuit shop rent-free from someone on the side of the road. Liton and his wife Anju run the shop together and manage their family. Their house is next door. A dilapidated house surrounded by a thatched fence and built of straw and tin with two rooms. Sagarika started playing at Ranishankoil Rangatungi United Promila Football Academy at the age of 9. After playing there for 6 consecutive years, he was admitted to BKSP with the efforts of Tajul Islam, the director of that academy. Sagarika did not like BKSP's Kothar rules. So after 4 months he returned to his home field Ranishankoil. After that Ranishankoil Rangatungi started playing league in different clubs of the country for Promila Football Academy. While playing in those leagues, he established himself as a top scorer and a skilled player. And then Sagarika caught the attention of the national team. Now he is playing for the national team for 1 year. On Monday (February 12), it was revealed that the beginning of playing football was not easy for Sagarika. Playing football in halfpants jerseys.
